Books I have read #1

Below I will introduce a couple of books I have read and which I would like to recommend.

I cannot remember the books I’ve read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me.

Ralph Waldo Emerson
  1. A Series Of Unfortunate Events books by Lemony Snicket. Read this series when I was a teenager. The book explains the struggles that three recently orphaned siblings had to deal with. It shows how the world will twist against them because of their inheritance left from their passed away parents. However, they find their way out of problems with their knowledge and interest in books.
  2. Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. I’m not an apple fan but I am a fan of people who have constructive influence on the world. Steve Jobs is one of them. This Biography shows the problems that a pioneer has to deal with in order to establish a company like apple.
  3. Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson. This short story is about four characters, two men and two mouses, which search in a maze in order to find their valued treasure, CHEESE! The book brings an example of how smart men can waste time while careless mouses can reach to their goal.
  4. Every Street is Paved with Gold by Woo-Choong Kim. One of the most successful books in Korean history. The book explains the secrets of the multi millionaire, Kim Woo-Choong. The book is filled with great advices for the youth. I personally like this quote of him in the book: “Loosing in the right way is better than winning in the wrong one.”
  5. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. The novel is about an Andalusian shepherd boy named Santiago who travels from his homeland in Spain to the Egyptian desert in search of a treasure buried near the Pyramids. To me, the story shows the differences of those who dare and those who don’t and how they can alter their future of their life (or not).

So there we have it! These were the books I thought to be good to share with all of you. I’ll keep posting more about qualified books I’ve read in the future. In the mean time if there are any books that you recommend I would like to hear of it in the comments below or by contacting me personally.

You know you’ve read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a friend.
